It all began with Effie. In 1964, at the age of 12, with a passion for diamonds and a grand vision of what was to come, Effie took on an apprenticeship as a diamond cutter and polisher in the capital of Israel’s burgeoning diamond industry, Netanya.

After he honed his skills with small melee, he began working with larger diamonds and went on to invent a process that promoted faster, more efficient cutting, and became recognized for his cutting talent even as a young man.

Years later, he met our American mother and followed her to the United States with only a pocketful of diamonds and not speaking English. They settled in New Orleans and began business selling diamonds to local and national jewelry stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue.

Effie’s two daughters, Tiffany and Sarah, have since grown and joined Rothschild. We are proud to offer the best quality diamonds available in the country, in a friendly, personal atmosphere located right in New Orleans. It’s an experience you won’t find anywhere else.
