The cut of a diamond directly affects how much light the stone will reflect as well as the perception of size of the diamond.  We make sure all of our diamonds are cut in a way that allows optimal light reflection and maximizes the appearance of the diamond size.

 

Other jewelry stores often sell a ‘deep stone’, which is a stone that is cut too deeply. Not only does this affect the beauty and brilliance of a diamond, but also makes the diamond appear like a smaller size diamond than you are paying for. For example, a 1.00 carat diamond should measure 6.5mm. A diamond in the 6.45-6.55 is acceptable, but many jewelry stores sell a 1.00 carat diamond that measures 6mm! This makes your 1.00 carat diamond look like an 0.80ct diamond!
